Being Charitable
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Nebraska that was founded in 1983. This charity foundation has an overall rating of 4 stars, making it out with a score of 97.55%, they've also accomplished to grant 1,800 wishes to the children with their condition in NA. Their mission with this foundation is to grant children a wish with life-threatening medical conditions. They also seek to restore happiness and faith into the children and their families.

The reason being why I chose to donate my million dollars to this charity foundation is because what they're doing is so amazing. You can find people who claim they care for the ill and claim they're willing to help but don't do anything, then you have this foundation and their accomplishments. Reading its reviews, it made me want to help them make a difference in others lives. When you have a life threatening condition, you never know when will be your last day and the fact that this foundation is doing what it can to restore that faith and joy into these children has got to be a lot to prove there can be faith in humanity again. I know my brother has down syndrome but if it was something else, and I knew his time was soon I'd like to at least be able to grant him what he wants and deserves. These children deserve the world, and since they can't get it they can at least get a bit of it.

You can find basic information about this charity on http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=9534#.VMFqqtLF9IE. You'll be able to see information about their mission, their ratings. Charts about the contributions, financial score, incomes statements. You can also read about their history and if you still don't feel convinced check out comments left by people who've had an encounter with this foundation.

Favorite Film Friday

John Q starring Denzel Washington has got to be my favorite movie yet! John's (Denzel) acting was great. You can feel the agony of the parent's in the illness of their son. There were parts where John and his wife argued over typical marriage problems (not enough money, bills, towed car, etc.) and it honestly felt like you'd be watching your parents argue.
The best thing about this movie is how it touched bases with real life things such as knowing your loved one's life is in a crisis knowing you can't do anything about it and how hopeless situations can sometimes make you act out in a negative sense. It made me cry, it made me laugh, it made me want to hold my loved ones closer. It reminded me of when my mom was in coma and how angry I was knowing I couldn't do anything to wake her up. That's probably one of the biggest reasons why I love this movie so much.

BUCKET LIST

1. Go sky diving- I'd want to try sky diving because I'm not afraid of heights, but I love the adrenaline feeling of knowing you're doing something risky.

2. Donate my hair- I'd want to do this because I know there's girls out there who deal with chemotherapies and hair loss. All that can cause self esteem issues, and I'd like to be able to donate my hair if it means boosting their self esteem up.

3. Meet Vinnie Paz- I'd want to meet him because he went into touch with many personal things; about his life, when he served for our country, and political stuff with his music. He helped me open my eyes up. If I ever do get to meet him I'd want to ask him how did he become so mad at he people in charge? When did he begin to notice their dirty secrets? Hopefully one day it happens.

4. Own a St. Bernard or Great Dane- I always had love for pit-bulls but if there's anything I love next to pit-bulls it's St. Bernards and Great Danes. I've always had love for big dogs!

5. Join/Start a movement against animal captivity- I used to be a big fan of zoos and aquariums until I found out how they treat the animals. It breaks my heart knowing that animals go through these things in order to fulfill human entertainment.

My Top Three YourCategory

1. Music
I choose music because music is great. It's a beautiful work of art. You can loosen yourself up in any genre, you can find yourself in just one genre. My mind is open to any genre, whether it's Spanish music, rock, funk, rap, oldies, techno, jazz, or meditation music. There's always a preference of music in my activities.

2. Cooking
I always loved cooking! Ever since I was a little girl I'd love to give my mom a hand in the kitchen. My favorite memory when it came down to cooking was a Sunday morning cooking mash potatoes, a red rice, and milanesas with a yummy salsa for my brothers and their friends after their football game. They wouldn't stop complimenting my cooking and since then I loved cooking on my own. I'll sit and watch videos on dishes to make, or I'll call my grandma and ask for some ideas of stuff to make. But I love cooking!

3. Hair and Makeup
One of my hobbies is doing hair and makeup. I love curling hair, straightening it, and styling it. I also love doing makeup on myself and my sister, my mom, and aunts. I'm kind of a newbie to bolder makeup since I always did a more softer-natural look. But I spent a lot of my time the past year watching videos on how to work with more bolder and darker colors and little by little I am getting the hang of it. I've learned how to apply eyeliner, lipstick with out having "bloody lips", how to do a smokey eye, how contour your face. and how to fill in eyebrows. Makeup and hair styling is just so cool to me!
Perseverance

In my life growing up I've set many goals for myself. Some consisted of weight lost, others consisted of gaining more knowledge about many great things. Although all those are great goals the one that I most appeal is making a difference in others lives and helping them out. I know my goal is spread out in the medical field.

What I mean to be exact about "spread out in the medical field" is, I know it's either as a nurse, a physical therapist, or psychologist. You can always find people thanking you for the role you played in their lives as those positions. You never know what you'll get caught up in situations with those jobs, you can save somebody physically or emotionally. I'd live my life content knowing I'm saving a life with the little I can do. It may be sacrificial, but in my eyes it's honestly okay.

Why did I chose that as my life long goal? To be honest, I'm not sure how I can put my answer into words. There were people who did interact in my life with those jobs, and no words can ever explain how thankful I am they helped my family and me out. I know I want to be able to do the same in others lives. That's the majority of the reason why I set helping others out and making a difference in their lives as one of my life long goals.

My Winter Break

This winter break was probably one of the coolest breaks I have had in a while. Although my family from Texas didn't come like planned we enjoyed it with the family here in California. I also got in touch with an old childhood friend and we became really close these past two weeks. There was absolutely no drama, nobody was hurt, and there was lots of gatherings.

On my birthday (December 23rd) my cousins came over and so did my nephew, we all ate Pollo Loco. That day I got some make-up supplies, some money, and a lot of balloons. On Christmas Eve we all got together at my uncle and aunt's house. We ate, some played video games, some played family games, others danced, and finally it was time to open the presents. Most adults got emotional. That day I got more make-up, and some clothes. I also got to buy my nephew, his sister, and his mom a present for Christmas. On New Years we stayed in our house and my uncle and a family friend came over. I cooked for the entire family, it was super stressing! Then it was Dia De La Rosca, it's an hispanic tradition, but it wasn't apart of break. We still gathered at my uncle and aunt's house and ate.

Winter break made me realize how hard 2014 was but how happy I am that it ended on a good note. I loved having the opportunity to have spent it with my family with no interruptions, but most importantly to have had my home after a year. I hope next winter break it better!
